Dear Educators,
For Earth Day 2021, The Hudson County Improvement Authority is hosting a poetry contest that students of all ages can participate in. Our theme this year is “Earth Day: Bringing Hudson County Together”.
Earth Day is what we make of it, whether that means coming together in person or virtually, in big groups or small, in taking simple steps to make our county greener or in supporting our community and environment. There has never been a better time to come together and reconnect with what makes Hudson County special than on Earth Day.
We’re encouraging students to be as creative as they wish. Please send your word doc, image, or video to recycle@hcia.org with your name, grade, school, and contact information so we can reach out to you or your student if they are placed in our contest. In the subject line, please write “EARTH DAY POETRY CONTEST”.
The Deadline to submit is April 17th, 2021.
